Dustination

Thursday, April 17, 2008 / 9 pm

KW Institute for Contemporary Art, Auguststrasse 69, 10117 Berlin-Mitte, U6 Oranienburger Tor, S1/S2/S25 Oranienburger Strasse, S5/S7/S9 Hackescher Markt

Dustination: The Dust that Floats between the Visible and the Invisible is Explained Physically, Technically and Scientifically as it Leaves the Pictorial Realm to Animate the Space. The subtitle to her lecture says it all. Architect Bettina Vismann’s discussion about that most indeterminate and ethereal of substances, which usually escapes all attention (until too much of it has collected and you have to clean it up), explains everything you ever wanted to know about dust but were afraid to ask. Bettina Vismann is co-author of an essay for the catalogue of the 5th berlin biennial. She lives in Berlin (DE). The lecture will be held in German.
