Concerts
In the framework of Tarek Atoui’s project Dahlem Sessions, musicians Burkhard Beins, Rudi Fischerlehner, Charbel Haber, Katt Hernandez, Carl Ludwig Hübsch, Mazen Kerbaj, Magda Mayas, Andrea Neuman, Stéphane Rives, Sharif Sehnaoui, and Michael Vorfeld present collective performances using Dahlem’s musical instrument collection. Performances take place six times a day and last approximately 25 minutes each. For this project, since 2013 Atoui has invited musicians to record solos on instruments from this collection in various sessions in order to explore the relationship between the musicians and instruments, and to build a sound library of recordings that Atoui will use and work with in various contexts outside the 8th Berlin Biennale.
