Object and Disintegration: A Performance in Trialogue Form, 2007–2008

Tuesday, May 20, 2008 / 8 pm

Georg-Kolbe-Museum, Sensburger Allee 25, 14055 Berlin-Charlottenburg, S9/S75 Heerstrasse

Using language as a means to rethink the potential of abstraction, sculpture, and artistic practice, Falke Pisano activates abstract sculpture as a thought-generating principle. She employs the idea of the unstable, transforming, and disintegrating object as a way to address issues concerning object qualities, form, construction, and engagement. During the performance, she will attempt to articulate a potential path from “the object” toward a situation in which the (disintegrated) object becomes a performative site in the form of a trialogue between a contextualizing observer, a creative subject, and an engaging spectator. Born in 1978 in Amsterdam (NL) Falke Pisano lives and works in Amsterdam (NL) and Paris (FR).
