This open meeting and discussion considers the effects of the initiatives and actions conducted throughout the long-term process of the development of the Berlin Biennale and the duration of the exhibition. Reflecting on the practices of combining artistic and political tools that the Biennale introduced, where does this process lead us and what are the next steps?

In the process of the preparations of 7. Berlin Biennale and in the period of it's duration we have introduced actions and initiatives which we considered as possibly effective towards the transformation of individual and common reality. We believe that many of them have realised our hopes of finding the practices which utilize artistic tools in order to change the political situation of individuals and groups. Some of them have not fully developed all of their potentialities, others are still waiting to be discover.

Berlin Biennale, members of the social movements who were active in the framework of the Biennale, representatives of the Solidarity Action institutions, our collegues from the Biennale office, the members of the communities based in Berlin to which the initiatives were addressed (including the Palestinians, Roma and Sinti people, members of the Israeli and Bialorusian diasporas as well as the Turkish community and others) and the visitors for the open meeting and discussion to reflect on the effects of the actions introduced in the duration of the Biennale, to discuss the issue of how to develop the tools of artistic and political interactions in order to empower their potentialities of transformation individual and common realities and to define the next steps which might be introduced in order to utilize the possibilities of changing the artistic and political situation in Berlin as well as in other places affected by the Biennale interventions which were opened due to the actions of 7.
