Lars Laumann selected a series of works by Pushwagner, which complement the presentation of the pictorial novel Soft City at KW Institute for Contemporary Art as Pushwagner’s contribution to the 5th berlin biennial. The exhibition at the Schinkel Pavillon brings together large-format works and ephemera from museum and private collections, shown for the first time outside of Norway and offering a glimpse into the artist’s uncommon art and life. Between psychedelic comic strip and anti-utopian vision of society ruled by military and technocratic regimes, the work of Pushwagner has emerged as a source of inspiration for a younger generation of Norwegian artists and musicians. Lars Laumann’s new film project is presented at Skulpturenpark Berlin_Zentrum as part of the 5th berlin biennial. Pushwagner was born in 1940 in Oslo (NO), he lives and works in Oslo (NO). Lars Laumann was born in 1977 in Brønnøysund (NO), he lives and works in Oslo (NO).
